DEEP LIGHT

“As the visitor crosses this platform, the walls serve as a backdrop for a light that is simultaneously shining through, and reflected by its scaled surface. Two contrasting sources are combined. From the outside, and through the grooves in its thick and aged skin, the marble lets the daylight in. From the inside, artificial light adds colours, trying to go deep and penetrate, and bounces off the fragmented surfaces as they blend and fade away. While the light brings the space to life, purifying, the marble adds structure and rhythm, and turns the energy into music for the eyes.”
